MULTIMEDIA DEVICE AND SCREEN DISPLAY METHOD

Disclosed is a multimedia device which comprises an operating unit for selecting items indicating operation details of functions included in the device or menus that display the items and a control unit that performs control in accordance with the operation details indicated by the items selected using the operating unit. One of the menus and one of first items indicating main operation details of the functions among the items displayed in the menu selected using the operating unit are enlarged for display. When the first item is selected using the operating unit, second items indicating more detailed operations of the first item are displayed. In this manner, the multimedia device and a screen display method allow users to intuitively and easily operate the operation screen using a GUI.
