PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device in which even in the case thinning of a partition wall is intended, this partition wall can be prevented appropriately from being easily broken caused by being contacted with electric parts. SOLUTION: The operating device OP includes: an operating substrate 2 which is housed in a cabinet 1 having a switch operating region 6 and has a slit 22 and a pair of separation target sites sandwiching this slit 22; and a partition wall 3 which is installed protruding on an inner face part 12a of the cabinet 1 and inserted through a slit 22 and partitions between the pair of separation target sites. In the partition wall 3, in a base end part 3b closer to the inner face part 12a than the control substrate 2, a notched part 30 to form a local narrow width part 31 is installed. The narrow width part 31 functions as an elastically deformable part in which a tip part 3a side of the partition wall 3 is made deformable in a direction where the pair of separation target sites are aligned.
