<p>A method of making an insulating translucent panel assembly (10) such as a window or door lite is provided. In the method, a spacer (16) between two translucent panels (12) of glass or plastic includes a thermo- responsive sealing material (22). When heat and compression are applied to the spacer (16), the thermo-responsive sealing material (22) softens and fully seals the spacer (16) to the two translucent panels (12). A spacer (16) designed to be used in this method is also provided.</p> |
