摘要 The invention relates to a device for monitoring and controlling the belt course in a device for producing a lap roll (WW), wherein the lap (W) is wound onto a core (H) driven by a circulating, endless belt (R), wherein the endless belt is guided in a loop (S) around the core (H) over several pulleys (R1 - R6) and the core is retained between two winding disks (W1, W2) that protrude beyond the core in the radial direction. The aim of the invention is to propose a device, wherein the monitoring and regulation of the belt course of a commercially available flat belt transverse to the running direction of the flat belt are improved and simplified in relation to known solutions. Said aim is achieved in that a non-contact sensor (S1) is attached at least at a point of the belt course outside of the loop (S) in the area of one of the side edges (RS) of the belt (R), the non-contact sensor being suitable for continuously detecting the position of the scanned side edge (SR) of the belt (R), and the sensor (S1) is connected to a control unit (ST), by means of which at least one actuating device (11) for returning the belt to a predetermined tolerance range (T) can be controlled.
