PURPOSE: The entrance monitoring system of a digital door lock and a method of thereof are provided to transmit SMS including entrance information and emergency situations to a user terminal by receiving the entrance information and emergency situations in a wireless network. CONSTITUTION: A digital door lock(10) includes a memory unit and an entrance monitoring system. The memory unit store user authentication information, user information, and the information of a terminal receiving SMS. When authentication information is inputted by a user, an entrance monitoring system compares the inputted information with the authentication information stored in the memory unit. If the inputted information corresponds to the stored information, the entrance monitoring system determines the user as an authorized person, and then requests a SMS transmission message from an internet phone system(30) to inform the entrance to a remote area.
