PURPOSE: A method and system for an on-line auction service using a communication network are provided to allow a senior auction participant to determine his/her auction participation after confirming the auction participation condition of a subordinated auction participant so that the senior auction participant may secure the advantageous position in a corresponding auction. CONSTITUTION: If an auction process begins, each user participates in an auction by inputting a bidding price through an Internet homepage(S21,S22). If the period of the auction participation comes to an end, additional periods for each auction participant are assigned and notified to each auction participant(S23,S24). Each auction participant additionally participate in the auction by inputting the bidding price for the additional periods(S25). If all the additional periods are terminated, the auction participant who inputs the maximum bidding price is selected as a successful bidder(S27). |
