PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for discharging droplets which has a function of stirring the functional liquid in an ink cartridge and in which the volume of the droplets discharged from the droplet discharge head hardly varies. SOLUTION: The apparatus for discharging the droplets has a droplet discharge head for forming the functional liquid into the droplets and discharging them to a substrate from the nozzle, the housing tank 15 housing a rotor 31 containing a magnetic body and moving and the functional liquid to be supplied to the droplet discharge head, the carriage 11 for moving the droplet discharge head and the housing tank 15 to the substrate and a magnetic unit 14 for exerting attraction to the rotor 31 from the gravity direction of the housing tank 15. The carriage 11 moves the housing tank 15 at an acceleration in which the rotor 31 does not move to the housing tank 15 when the droplet discharge head discharges the droplets and moves the housing tank 15 at the acceleration in which the rotor 31 moves to the housing tank 15 when the droplet discharge head does not discharge the droplets.
