Disclosed is a salt of the pictured compound, namely 4-methyl-N-[3-(4-methyl-imidazol-1-yl)-5-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-3-(4-pyridin-3-yl-pyrimidin-2-ylamino)-benzamide monohydrochloride monohydrate. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the salt, and the use of the salt to treat diseases which respond to an inhibition of protein kinase activity.
