PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device and a data leakage preventive method capable of preventing recorded data from being leaked.

SOLUTION: A controller for controlling the storage device for enciphering the data based on an encryption key to be stored in a storage area, and for decoding the data stored in the storage area based on the encryption key includes an information generating part for generates information different from that at the time of the last feed of an electric power source as change information by feeding the electric power source of the storage device, and an encryption key generating part for generating the encryption key based on the change information generated by the information generating part.
