PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a door body from being largely deformed by impact force and largely entering the inside of a vehicle body during a front collision or a side collision of a vehicle, and to attain prevention of the deformation of the door body with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A side door device includes a belt line part reinforcing panel 31 mounted at an upper edge part of the door body 26, a lock device 35 capable of locking an end part of the door body 26 in the longitudinal direction on a side wall 10, and a lock reinforcing panel 36 for reinforcing a mounting part of the lock device 35 at the one end part of the door body 26. A surface on a cabin 6 side at an upper edge part at the one end part of the door body 26 is displaced to the outside of the vehicle body 2 rather than an upper edge part on the other end part side of the door body 26 to form a door narrow part 39 at the upper edge part at the one end part of the door body 26. A part 36a of the lock reinforcing panel 36 is connected to the belt line part reinforcing panel 31 in a range corresponding to at least almost the whole of the door narrow part 39 in the longitudinal direction.
