Disclosed is a refrigerant supply/exhaust device for superconducting rotating machines that is capable of avoiding increases in the maintenance costs of the device resulting from contact between a stationary side member and a rotating side member and of avoiding temperature increases in refrigerant gases, by means of a configuration whereby the stationary side member and the rotating side member do not come in contact with one another. Also disclosed is a superconducting rotating machine that is equipped with said refrigerant supply/exhaust device. In the refrigerant supply/exhaust device, recessions with such structures as a ring-shaped groove that is formed with a regular pitch or an irregular pitch in the shaft direction or a spiral-shaped structure that is formed continuously or discontinuously in the shaft direction, are formed on outer surface sections of a cylindrical body (20) in order to apply resistance to helium gas attempting to flow out via a cylindrical space formed by the outer surface of the cylindrical body (20), the cylindrical body (20), and the inner pipe (14b) of a second double pipe (14). As a result, the leakage of helium gas from the aforementioned cylindrical space can be controlled. |
