PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a detectable distance of a detected object in the whole detection electrodes if a plurality of detection electrodes are existed. SOLUTION: A capacitive touch sensor 1 is structured to switch detection modes between a first detection mode connecting a plurality of detection electrodes 2<SB>1</SB>-2<SB>4</SB>in parallel and detecting the detected object approaching the detection electrode among the whole detection electrodes, and a second detection mode individually detecting the detected object approaching respective detection electrodes 2<SB>1</SB>-2<SB>4</SB>by canceling parallel connection of the plurality of detection electrodes 2<SB>1</SB>-2<SB>4</SB>.
