PURPOSE: A position transducer and a method for driving the same are provided to minimize the malfunction and failure rate of a fuel valve monitoring sensor by detecting on/off of a fuel valve using bias voltage and outputting an electrical sensing signal. CONSTITUTION: A position transducer comprises a power supply unit(100), a fuel valve monitoring sensor, and a controller(300). The power supply unit is input with DC power from an external power source and converts the DC power into bias voltage. The fuel valve monitoring sensor is input with the bias voltage, senses the on/off state of a fuel valve, numerically detects the variation of the fuel valve, changes the detected variation to the predetermined digital level, and displays the set value corresponding to the digital level in the induced voltage value. The controller is input with the induced voltage value and carries out one of amplification, noise removal, and linearity correction so as to output the pre-formed electric signal to an external connector. |
