<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which a rear end periphery of a middle shaft is deformed as if cored, making the engaging part of a connecting member unable to engage with the rear end periphery of the middle shaft when a writing body unit is projected and in which, as a result, the projected state of the writing body unit can not be maintained. <P>SOLUTION: In a retractable writing utensil, a writing body unit is arranged in a retractable manner inside a barrel, with the outer periphery of the writing body unit surrounded with the middle shaft. Also, a clip is arranged on the barrel, with a ball section installed in the front of the clip, and with the ball section locked in the middle shaft of the writing body unit. Thus, the projected state of the writing body unit from the barrel is maintained in the retractable writing utensil. In the process of releasing the maintenance of the projected state, the ball section of the clip is continuously brought into contact with the engaging part of the middle shaft, with the locking part installed inside the barrel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
