PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing apparatus which can increase the stability of collective packaging by preventing a packing material from slipping when articles to be packed are stacked on a pallet by holding both end sections of the articles to be packed by the packing material. SOLUTION: An internal end side protruding section 5 is formed on the edge section on the top surface internal end side of the packing material 1. The internal end side protruding sections 5 keep two pieces each formed with an interval in the longitudinal direction. An external end side protruding section 6 is formed on the edge section of the top surface external end side of the packing material 1. An internal end side recess section 7 is formed on the edge section on the bottom surface internal end side of the packing material 1. The internal end side recess sections 7 keep two pieces each formed with an interval in the longitudinal direction. An external end side recess section 8 is formed on the edge section on the bottom surface external end side of the packing material 1. At the time of collective packaging, a plurality of the protruding section 5 and 6, and the recess sections 7 and 8 of the packing materials 1 which are adjacent to each other on the top and the bottom are engaged, and slippage is surely prevented from occurring.
