PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component excellent in electric characteristics while it has a reduced height. SOLUTION: The coil component 14 includes a coil part 11 formed by punching and folding a metal flat plate, and a magnetic material 13 in which the coil part 11 is buried. An insulating layer 12 is provided on surfaces opposed to each other by folding the coil part 11, while there are no such insulating layers 12 on the surfaces not opposed to each other.
