PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device that reduces the number of operations of a panning or tilting button, and quickly shows the face of a visitor on a monitor, by adjusting a moving amount in operating the panning or tilting button, each time. SOLUTION: In an intercom device 1, a face detection circuit 212 of a living-room master unit 20 detects the position of the face of a visitor, and detected positional information of the face is recorded in a memory 213 under control of a master-unit CPU 214. According to the intercom device 1, a moving amount of a zoom area when operating the panning button 209 or the tilting button 210, is adjusted based on the positional information recorded in the memory 213. Therefore, since the zoom area can be speedily moved to the position of the face of the visitor by minimum operation of the panning button 209 or the tilting button 210, the face of the visitor can be promptly displayed on the monitor 207.
