A method for inducing self-regulation process in arthropod populations of apple-tree plantations includes creating unfavourable conditions for functioning harmful species. Along the perimeter of agrocenosis plant groupings of wild herbaceous and shrubby plants with long term of flowering and nectar bearing capacity are formed. In addition, at an average daily air temperature of +6- eggs of the angoumois grain moth, the age of which does not exceed 1-2 days from the beginning of laying thereof by females, are settled onto wild shrubby plants. The eggs are preliminary glued onto strips of solid cardboard, which is exposed onto plants, by a 10 % aqueous honey solution. At least 150-160 eggs of the moth are settled onto 10 shrubs. In addition, in the period of the beginning of egg-laying of females of lepidopterous phytophages, four settlings onto trees are carried with an interval of 6-7 days, of a parasite of phytophage eggs, in particular Trichogramma. The species Trichogramma pintoi Voeg. is used for the first two settlings in an equivalent of 80 and 100 females per one tree. In addition, the species T. dendrolimi Mats. is used for the further two settlings is used in an equivalent of 150 and 100 females per one tree. |
