<p>An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform filtering of an audio signal into at least three frequency band signals. It then generates for each frequency band signal a plurality of sub-band signals and processes at least one sub-band signal from at least one frequency band. The processed sub-band signals are then combined to form a combined processed audio signal. The invention provides an improved filter bank structure that is designed so that besides noise suppression, other audio processing may utilise the filter bank structure and save computational and memory capacity on a processor system.</p> |
