METHOD TO EVALUATE A DATA STORAGE DEVICE USING MAGNETIC SPACING LOSSES

PURPOSE: A method for evaluating a data storing device by using magnetic space for optimizing a storing device is provided to stop a service of the data storing device in case an actual total effective loss parameter is greater than total effective loss parameter threshold. CONSTITUTION: A wallace spacing loss parameter is set up(375). The wallace spacing loss parameter is determined through LMS(Least Mean Square) of FIR(Finite Impulse Response) size response rate curve(380). If the wallace spacing loss parameter is greater than a wallace spacing loss parameter threshold, a data storing device stops.
