<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the energy consumption of wheel electronics used for monitoring air pressure in vehicle tires. <P>SOLUTION: A method for monitoring air pressure in vehicle tires uses the wheel electronics (1) including a pressure sensor (1a) for measuring the air pressure present in a tire, a transmitter (1e) for transmitting pressure information and a receiver (1f) for receiving an interrogation signal (10).
