<p>Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent element which is provided with an anode (3), a cathode (4), and an organic EL layer (5), which is disposed between the anode (3) and the cathode (4) and contains a positive and negative charge-transporting material. The organic EL layer (5) includes: an acceptor region (6), which is disposed on the anode (3) side, and is doped with an acceptor; a donor region (8), which is disposed on the cathode (4) side and is doped with a donor; and a light emitting region (7), which is disposed between the acceptor region (6) and the donor region (8), and is doped with an organic light emitting material. The acceptor is doped such that the concentration thereof is gradually reduced toward the light emitting region (7) from the anode (3) side in the acceptor region (6), and the donor is doped such that the concentration thereof is gradually reduced toward the light emitting region (7) from the cathode (4) side in the donor region (8). Thus, the organic EL element having a high luminance, high efficiency and long service life can be provided with the simple structure.</p> |
