PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate narrowing and to achieve cost reduction of an optical probe having a tubular outer tube of the probe and a function of deflecting the light emitted from the surface of the outer tube in the circumferential direction of the outer tube. SOLUTION: A supporting member 12 and an optical fiber 13 are disposed side by side in the inner space of the tubular outer tube 11 of the probe in such a state as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the outer tube 11. The optical probe has an optical deflecting element 17 for deflecting the light L emitted from the distal end of the optical fiber 13 in the circumferential direction of the outer tube 11 of the probe.
