PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional ancillary information monitoring device that cannot extract and monitor only required items in a plurality of ancillary information items, and cannot grasp temporal changes and sequence thereof. SOLUTION: An ancillary information display monitor includes a function for selecting a plurality of ancillary information items to be multiplexed with a video signal, converting the information items into waveforms, disposing the waveforms on the same time base, and simultaneously displaying them on one screen. Therefore, the plurality of ancillary information items are selected, converted into waveforms, disposed on the same time base and simultaneously displayed on one screen, thereby showing visual and real-time temporal changes and sequence thereof for the plurality of ancillary information items selected by a user.
