Method of extracting fibres from a mixture comprising fibres

The pulper has a fiber-containing constituent and units for separating fibers from a mixture. The units have a rotating screw (10) which is divided into more than one working area with different functionalities, where a tapering of the diameter, in areas, towards the maximum filling height of the pulper is provided. The rotating screw has an axial conveyor (12) for conveying the mixture in an axial main conveying direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for extracting fibers from a mixture containing fibers.
