A drum (1) for a laundry treatment machine, carrying out in the modes of laundering or drying, which is mounted inside a housing (G) such that it can rotate around an axis (A) which is not oriented in the direction of gravity and contains provided with stamped recesses a bent shell (2) of the drum made permeable for a treating medium in said modes or impermeable for it in the drying mode, the drum has to provide increased permeability of the drum shell (2) without deterioration of the cautious laundry treatment in the case of intensive mechanical treatment of the laundry. The problem is solved by means of carrying out the shell (2) of the drum with the dome-shaped stamped recesses (4, 11, 12), which have a contour at the level of the surface of the drum shell (2), formed by several arcuate edges (41, 42, 43) merging into one another and having one single axis (44) of symmetry which extends at least approximately in the circumferential direction of the drum shell (2). |
