FIELD: food industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, namely to sausage production, in particular - to production of sausage casings. The reinforced sausage casing contains a tubular base and a tubular mesh glued to the base with the mesh encasing the tubular base outside surface. The glue is represented by a water-and-alcohol solution of polyvinyl alcohol modified with a carboxyl-containing polymer. The alcohol content in the said solution may be 5 - 20 wt %, the total polymer concentration being 8-12 wt %. ^ EFFECT: sausage casing produced in accordance with the invention concept is resistant to high temperatures without becoming sticky or contaminated with the filling on the inside in the course of sausage products preparation. ^ 1 tbl |
