<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus allowing rapid setting of image forming information suitable for an image of an image forming target. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes a storing means that stores image forming information including image type information indicative of a type of an image and related to consumption of a recording material for each image, an index value for suppression of consumption of the recording material, and print setting information; a discriminating means that discriminates a type of an image of an image forming target; a calculating means that calculates the index value; and a selecting means that selects image forming information of top priority from the pieces of image forming information stored in the storing means based on a result of the discrimination by the discriminating means and a result of the calculation by the calculating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
