PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPIB(General Purpose Interface Bus) file access device for efficiently performing a file operation on a display screen, and for grasping and confirming the content of file change in a storage device. SOLUTION: In the GPIB file access device which is configured to read/write a file by performing access to a storage device incorporated in a measuring instrument from a PC through a GPIB, the PC is characterized to have at least either a function for converting the file operation of the file system of an OS into a GPIB command, and for transmitting it to the storage device and a function for replotting a file display screen on the basis of file change notification from the storage device.
