PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display as many representative images as possible within a short period of time. SOLUTION: When information on reduced images exists in an image file, a priority is set to 1, and in the other cases, the priority is set to 2 or 3 according to the size of the image file. First, representative images of the priority 1 which have a short processing time are displayed, and then, representative images of the priority 2 are displayed. Representative images of the priority 3 which require a long processing time are lastly displayed, which enables a user to immediately check what kinds of images are recorded.
