<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor magnet position feedback technique having no defect due to using a Hall-effect sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A brushless motor includes RFID tags fixed on the surfaces of a plurality of magnets for a rotor. Peculiar discriminating characters functioning to discriminate the magnets are stored in each RFID tag. A stator includes a plurality of pole teeth, and a plurality of RFID inquiry antennas are mounted adjacently to the pole teeth. An RFID reader generates radio inquiry signals transmitted to the RFID tags by the antennas. The RFID tags responds by transmitting the peculiar discriminating character every time the inquiry signal is detected at tag intrusion into the regions of the pole teeth. The position and magnet-discriminating information are received by the RFID reader. The RFID reader processes the information, transmits the information to a motor control and driving-device unit, and the unit supplies each power coil with an operating power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
