<p>A method for upgrading a mirror image is disclosed, which comprises: making online a copy of the current network version software on a server, generating a mirror image of the current network version software on the server; upgrading the mirror image while the current network version software keeps running to provide services for external; activating the upgraded mirror image if the mirror image is upgraded successfully, running the upgraded mirror image instead of the current network version software to provide services for external, and stopping the current network version software from running. A apparatus for upgrading a mirror image is disclosed correspondingly. Because there is no need to interrupt services for upgrade, the invention effectively resolves the problems that the time of service interruption is relatively long during software upgrading, the failure rate of upgrading is high, and the repeal of upgrading is fussy. In addition, because the support of a backup server is cancelled, the cost during upgrading can be reduced, and the user's satisfaction during upgrading can be promoted.</p> |
