PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expanded-graphite sheet in the use phase, which is protected from contamination and which, when actually used, can suppress the lowering of quality or yield of articles. SOLUTION: The expanded-graphite sheet in the use phase, which has been packed in a packing material and thereafter taken out from the packing material, is characterized in that the contents of Al, B, Be, Ca, Cu, Fe, Li, Mg, Ni, S, Ti, V and Zn as determined by ICP atomic emission spectrometry, and the contents of K and Na as determined by atomic absorption spectrometry are all below the respective lower limits of detection.
