PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-phase direct-current motor enabling size reduction, enhanced torque, and reduced cogging torque thereof, extension of the life of a brush, and improved commutation. SOLUTION: One U-phase coil C1, one V-phase coil C7, and one W-phase coil C4 are formed on a tooth 9 of first U phase, a tooth 9 of first V phase, and a tooth 9 of first W phase. -U-phase coils C3, C8 are formed on a tooth 9 of second U phase and a tooth 9 of third U phase. -V-phase coils C5, C9 are formed on a tooth 9 of second V phase and a tooth 9 of third V phase. -W-phase coils C2, C6 are formed on a tooth 9 of second W phase and a tooth 9 of third W phase. The U-phase coil C1, -W-phase coil C6, -W-phase coil C2, V-phase coil C7, -U-phase coil C3, -U-phase coil C8, W-phase coil C4, -V-phase coil C9, and -V-phase coil C5 are electrically connected in this order between adjacent segments 14 in the circumferential direction.
