PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating device without causing positional dislocation even if an elevating object installed in an elevating body is a large size. SOLUTION: This elevating device ML includes: an elevating device body 1 having a suspending rope 11, winding drums 12 and 13 for winding-rewinding this rope and an opening OP for the elevating body to which the elevating body 3 goes in and out on an under surface, by surrounding the motor 13 and these components and having a case 19 forming an elevating body storage part 15 inside; the elevating body 3 suspended so that the suspending rope is positioned in the substantial center of a long size and elevating to the elevating device body; and an elevating object position regulating mechanism 2 having a position regulating piece S and an engaging body G engaging with the position regulating piece, arranging any one of the position regulating piece and the engaging body in the elevating body and arranging the other in a case of the elevating device body, respectively, and regulating a position of the elevating object installed in the elevating body, by engaging the position regulating piece and the engaging body in a position separated to the side from the elevating body, while being stored in a predetermined position of the elevating device body by elevating the elevating body.
