<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrosurgical control system which provides an improved power curve transitioning response. <P>SOLUTION: The electrosurgical system includes an electrosurgical generator adapted to supply electrosurgical energy to tissue at a power level responding to a generator power level signal; a sensor circuit structure adapted to monitor tissue impedance and output an impedance signal in response to the tissue impedance; and a microprocessor operably connected to the electrosurgical generator and the sensor circuit structure. The processor is adapted to receive the impedance signal and configured to output the generator power level signal, the generator output signal causing the electrosurgical generator to transition from a first power level to a second power level according to a transfer function.
