PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of easily diagnosing a failure of an acceleration sensor. SOLUTION: The elevator device includes an earthquake detecting device 1 for detecting long-period earthquake, and a control device 7 for controlling the operation of an elevator on the basis of the detection result of the earthquake detecting device. The earthquake detecting device includes the acceleration sensor 4 having a testing input terminal and detecting the long-period earthquake, a push button switch 2 for supplying testing input to the testing input terminal of the acceleration sensor, and a control device 6 for diagnosing a false acceleration detection signal output by the acceleration sensor when the push button switch is depressed, and for displaying a diagnosis result by means of lighting on or off a display lamp.
