Gripper device

The device has two gripping units (16) including multiple movable gripper fingers (18) with hook-like ends. The fingers are inserted in lateral openings of containers and/or boxes. The hook-like ends of two of multiple fingers, which are brought into engagement with the openings, are set relative to the openings in different heights. The hook-like ends point in same direction. The fingers are movable around a common rotational axis (28) in a base region (22). A shaft (24) is coupled with a drive for controlling a pivot movement of the fingers.
