PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting power in an adaptive tuning antenna circuit is provided to combine the progressing power with a reflect power using an absorb/reflect unit. CONSTITUTION: A coupler(100) outputs proceeding power toward an antenna(110), and reflecting power from the antenna. An absorbing/reflecting unit(140,150) combines the absorbing power and reflecting power. A level detector(130) detects the level of the reflected power and level of synthetic the power. A control unit(160) subtracts the level of reflect power from the synthetic power. The control unit calculates the level of the progressing power.
