PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting member of high resolution, capable of reducing flow-out of a conductive particle on an electrode, hardly containing bubbles in connections, having superior long-term reliability, not requiring accurate positioning between the conductive particle and the electrode, and superior in workability, and to provide a connection structure employing the same. SOLUTION: The connecting member is formed with insulating adhesive layers 2, 3 having a fused viscosity lower than that of a conductive sheet 1, at least when connected, on one face or both faces of the sheet 1 comprising a conductive material and a binder, and conductive along a pressurizing direction, the conductive material is an insulation-coated particle prepared by coating a conductive particle formed with a conductive layer selected from Au, Ag, Ni, Cu, W, Sb, Sn and a solder, onto a conductive core material selected from glass, ceramic and plastic, with an insulating layer, the particle size of the insulation-coated particle is smaller than the thickness of the binder, and a ratio of the conductive material to the binder is 10-20 vol.% in the connecting member.
