PURPOSE: A smart grid terminal apparatus and a subscriber authentication method thereof are provided to implement the functions of authorization of the subscriber and security by installing a subscriber identification device on a smart grid terminal apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A power measuring module(11) is electrically connected between a power supply unit(1) and a load(3). The power measuring module transmits a data signal of a digital format to a controller(13). The storage stores the program for calculating power. The controller implements the calculation program stored in the storage.
