PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesion structure allowing efficient deposition of an adhesive on a necessary part and capable of increasing the lamination strength; and to provide a substrate laminate structure, an electrooptic device and a method for manufacturing the device, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The electrooptic device 1 includes: an element substrate 2; a counter substrate having optical transparency and disposed opposite to the element substrate 2; an electrooptic layer disposed between the element substrate and the counter substrate; and a surface protective substrate laminated with the counter substrate via a frame-like porous material disposed on the opposite face of the counter substrate to the electrooptic layer and via an optical adhesive disposed within the frame of the porous material.
