PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which suppresses the swelling of an absorbent core to a skin surface side at the absorption of liquids and suppresses leakage of excrement. SOLUTION: The absorbent core 11 includes an absorbent material 111 having a liquid absorbing polymer. Substantially linear spacers are provided at a plurality of places between the surface 11a of the outer surface side of the absorbent core 11 and an outside sheet member 12 in a manner to be spaced apart from each other. The spacer separates the absorbent core 11 from the outside sheet member 12.
