PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant compressor using an R600a refrigerant having a long service life by using a sliding material capable of preventing wear or seizure and having excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance in a piston and a rod of the compressor to which lubricating oil may not be temporarily supplied. SOLUTION: In the refrigerant compressor using R600a (isobutane) for an operating refrigerant, as a surface treatment method of a sliding member, a pure chromium film layer is formed on a lower layer and a tungsten carbide layer and Me-DLC layer are formed as intermediate layers so that a diffusion permeation layer is surely formed on a surface of a base material, and DLC processing is applied to an uppermost part, and a DLC coating layer is formed. Thus, seizure or abnormal wear can be prevented, and the refrigerant compressor having the long service life and the refrigerating device with the compressor can be provided.
