PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for protecting receive circuits in a TDD(Time Division Duplexing) wireless communication system is provided to protect a low noise amplifier of a receiver from a high frequency transmission signal of high power. CONSTITUTION: A TDD control unit(200) controls a transmission mode according to a transmission section in a TDD mode, and a transmitting unit(220) performs power amplification for a high frequency signal in a transmission mode according to the control of the TDD control unit. An antenna switching unit(230) transfers a signal of the transmission unit to an antenna feed line according to the control of the TDD control unit. The antenna switching unit transfers a signal of the antenna feed line to a reception circuit. The antenna switching unit absorbs the output signal of the transmitting unit flowing into the reception unit in the case of the transmission mode.
