PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for recovering to print processing, even when the cleaning processing is performed during the print processing. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a filming removal determination part 261 to determine whether to perform the filming removal; a device control part 250 configured to, when determined to perform the filming removal during the print processing, shift the load to a filming removal mode without sending an instruction to stop or start an image forming device 90; and a filming removing processing part 264 configured to, when the load is shifted to the filming removal mode, cause the cleaning devices 160-163 to perform the filming removing processing.
