PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a line interface apparatus for converting data into data formats of a plurality of different access point transmission lines and communicating with an access point device via a line interface corresponding to a predetermined transmission format can not be tested during operation. SOLUTION: For a line number and a data format type selected during operation of the line interface apparatus, test data is communicated through a path for processing signals of the selected data format type and a non-selected line number and normality of the apparatus is tested for the selected line number and data format type during operation.
