PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device facilitating confirmation of parallelism between a vehicle and a parking space frame when parking.SOLUTION: The parking support device picks up an image of the surroundings of a vehicle, recognizes a frame line of a parking space extending in the advance direction of the vehicle from the picked-up image, superimposes a virtual frame line onto the image on an extension line going in the opposite direction to an entrance of the parking space, of the recognized frame line, and displays an image formed by superimposing the virtual frame line. Because the frame line of the parking space is displayed to be extended toward the opposite direction to the entrance of the parking space by the virtual frame line, the displayed frame line can be prevented from being shortened as the vehicle enters the parking space. Accordingly, even after the vehicle enters the parking space, a driver can easily check whether the vehicle is in parallel to the frame line of the parking space. |
