摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe reaction in the vicinity of a boundary of a sample by irradiating the inside of the sample with a stimulating light.SOLUTION: In the microscope device 11, a fluorescent cross-sectional image of each depth of the sample 12 with a laser beam radiated for each depth of the sample 12 via a confocal optical system 19 is acquired; a fluorescent image of a boundary surface of the sample 12, with a laser beam radiated so as to be totally reflected at the boundary surface of the sample 12 via a total reflection illuminating optical system 17 is acquired; and the stimulating light is irradiated to a predetermined spot designated, based on the fluorescent cross-sectional image through the confocal optical system 19. After the stimulating light is irradiated, the fluorescent image of the boundary surface of the sample 12, with the laser beam radiated to be totally reflected on the boundary surface of the sample 12 via the total reflection illuminating optical system 17 is acquired. The present invention, for example, is applicable to a microscope device having a total reflection illuminating optical system and a confocal optical system.
