PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable system including a first host bus adaptor connected to a first fiber channel port, and a remote manager attached to a second host bus adaptor connected to a second fiber channel port.SOLUTION: In the remote management system, the remote manager is operable to form an instruction to be sent to the first host bus adaptor by a second host bus adaptor through a common transport layer of a fiber channel. In the remote management system, an administrator in a specified place can manage a plurality of servers in a storage area network (SAN), HBAs 112A, 112B, 112C, and ports. The remote management system may include RMC software in a remote manager server, RMA software in each target server, and/or HBA to be managed. |
